Brookfield Engineering Laboratories has has added a fixture to its offering that tests the hardness of cosmetic pencils. The TA-EP Eye Pencil Test Fixture, which is compatible with their CT3 Texture Analyzer, measures the hardness of eye pencils, lip liners and other similar cosmetic products.
This apparatus joins a variety of test fixtures for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries including a Lipstick Cantilever Test Fixture, a Dual Extrusion Cell for testing creams and lotions as well as several jigs developed specifically for packaging.
The CT3 Tester is a stand-alone instrument for physical testing. It combines simplicity of operation with expanded test method capability and operates in both compression and tension modes. Brookfield can develop the testing methodology required to provide consistent results, and it offers TexturePro CT software to enable the operator to automate test procedures and generate valuable analytical data.
