This invention relates to the cosmetic, non-therapeutic use of a composition containing spray-dried yogurt powder and at least one anionic surfactant and/or fatty acid soap. This composition is used as a prebiotic for either inhibiting the growth and/or physiological activity of undesired skin bacteria, or obtaining desired skin bacteria.
The composition contains: a) at least one fatty acid soap, most preferably at 45% to 60% w/w; and b) spray-dried yogurt powder, most preferably at 0.05% and 3.0% w/w.
