The present invention relates to methods for removing long wearing or transfer-resistant make-up compositions from keratin materials such as eyelashes, nails, skin or lips. The make-up composition comprises at least one oil-soluble film-forming agent and at least one coloring agent in a kit. Such kits can include additional compositions such as, for example, topcoats for application to the makeup or primers (basecoats). The invention also relates to methods for applying gloss to keratin materials via a gloss composition comprising at least one oil-soluble film-forming agent, at least one oil and at least one coloring agent.

Described herein are self-heating cosmetic cleansing gels comprising: a) surfactants and b) more than 50% w/w of water-miscible hydroxyl compounds selected from glycols, glycol ethers and polyols, having in each case 2-6 C atoms; polyalkylene glycols having average molecular weights of up to 1,000 g/mol; and mixtures thereof. These hydroxyl compounds are liquid at 25°C, with the proviso that the substances evolve heat when dissolved in water. In addition, said gels contain c) at least 6% w/w of high molecular mass PEG or a mixture of two or more PEGs having different molar masses.
