Ecover Belgium NV has introduced an ecological, all-purpose cleaner suitable for cleaning the appliances and machinery used to manufacture food and cosmetics. DNW Eco-Pure is suitable for removing grease and oils and it is suitable for the safe cleaning of water-resistant surfaces such as stainless steel.
The low-foaming cleaner is renewable and made through a natural fermentation process. The product is not meant for cleaning soft metals such as aluminium, copper or zinc.
The cleaner reportedly is free from chlorine compounds, other halogen compounds, inorganic acids and petroleum-based detergents. According to the company, it has a low impact on aquatic life, and it is suitable for use within Ecocert accredited premises. It can be prepared with warm water at 1-10% for both manual cleaning and high-pressure cleaning.
