Title: ANZTPA Launches Newsletter
  • Article

The Australia New Zealand Therapeutic Products Authority (ANZTPA), a joint organization between New Zealand and Australia to establish uniform cosmetic regulation, has launched a newsletter to chronicle its actions.

The first newsletter was printed in May 2007, and a note from the transitional director of the trans-Tasman project group, Philip Davies,  headed the publication. According to Davies, the newsletter, "Aims to provide you with information on project milestones, current consultations and planned activities as well as giving answers to some to the questions which have been put to the project team."

Davies reported that the Therapeutic Products and Medicines Bill is before the Government Administration Committee. It was first introduced to Parliament on Dec. 5, 2006. The committee will report on the bill by June 15, 2007.

Suggestions of information for future newsletters was encouraged by Davies. Further comment can be made to the organization by e-mailing consultation@anztpa.org.
