Sonya Dakar has released an UltraLuxe antiaging skin care line that features a synthetic compound based on the paralyzing effect of a peptide found in the venom of temple viper snakes. The product line is said by the company to be a non-invasive alternative to Botox injections.
According to the company, Syn-ake, the venom-like compound found in the line, is modeled after the temple viper snakes because their venom retains effective muscle relaxing properties but is less irritating than other snake venom. The line features four products, a foaming cleanser, a mask, an age control complex, and an oil-control lotion. In addition to Syn-ake, eight other antiaging compounds are formulated into the line including argireline, laminactine, violoxx, syn-coll, matrixyl 3000, gatuline and secrets of acerola and pomme. The products also contain pomegranate, rosemary leaf, verbena and oat protein.
