Inolex has added three new people to its personnel, including a vice president, a claims scientist and a vice president of sales.

Daria C. Long has been named vice president of the company. In her new role, Long will spearhead a number of initiatives in sales and marketing associated with the company’s global expansion. Long will be responsible for identifying, developing, and enhancing applications and channels for Inolex’s growing product lines. She will build on advances in the company’s green chemistry product lines, innovative paraben-free preservatives, sun care ingredients and its naturals initiatives to source exotic ingredients from sustainable sources. Long brings 30 of experience in sales, marketing, product development and strategic planning in the specialty chemicals field. She has particular depth in the personal care and cosmetic ingredients sectors, with more than 20 years in top level positions at: 3V, Botaneco, International Specialty Products and Rhodia.

Yingxia He, PhD, has joined the company as a claims substantiation scientist. In this role, He will create a claims program at Inolex, ensuring that its ingredients provide advanced performance and consumer benefits that personal care companies expect. He will validate claims for Inolex’s green chemistry products, its alternative preservative technologies, its sun care ingredients and its naturally sourced exotic ingredients. This new substantiation program will allow Inolex’s customers to highlight ingredient technologies in their label-claims and their consumer marketing strategies. He is an expert in claims substantiation in the personal care industry, spending most her career in this role at companies such as Croda and Ciba Specialty Chemicals. She holds a doctorate degree in organic chemistry from Simon Fraser University. Her research has been published in peer reviewed scientific journals, and she is the inventor or co-inventor on several patents.

Claudio Carrara joins the company as VP of sales for the personal care division in Latin America and Southeast United States. Carrara joins Inolex from Arizona Chemicals, where he was sales manager for specialty polymers in the Americas. With a career spanning over 18 years, he brings with him extensive knowledge and exceptional talent in the personal care and consumer products markets.
