Active Micro Systems Names Director of Microbiology

Eric Schmitt has joined Active Micro Systems LLC as director of microbiological sciences and technology. He will lead the company's microbiological laboratories, based in Lincolnton, N.C., USA. Schmitt also will serve as a technical resource for manufacturing and R&D at Active Concepts LLC.

Schmitt earned his bacherlor's and master's degrees in microbiology. In addition, he has more than 25 years experience in microbiology, applied biotechnology, bioremediation, specialty chemical sales and specialty chemical marketing.

Active Micro Systems LLC is a manufacturer of natural and alternative preservative systems for the personal care industries.
