Attal Takes Helm of L'Oréal R&D

Laurent Attal has been named vice president and managing director of research and innovation for L'Oréal. He succeeds Jean-François Grollier, who is retiring after 40 years with the company.

Before his promotion, Attal was president and CEO of L'Oréal USA, a position that will be assumed by Federic Roze, currently head of the mass-market consumer products division at the company.

Attal is a trained dermatologist who joined the company in 1986. He built the company's active cosmetics division
