Desmond Goddard Passes Away

Des Goddard—a globally recognized and renowned colloids and surface scientist—passed away in his sleep while visiting his family during the holidays.

“Des Goddard was a very good friend and a frequent writer for C&T magazine. He and Bob Lochhead were considered the top polymer/colloid scientists," said Nancy Allured, Allured Publishing.

Goddard was a long-time member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists, the American Chemical Society and the Royal Society of Chemistry in the U.K. He received his PhD from Cambridge University in England.
