Theresa “Terry” Cesario, a beloved member of the Society of Cosmetics Chemists (SCC), passed away on Jan. 16, 2011, at her home on Staten Island, N.Y., USA, at the age of 66.
Cesario has served the SCC for nearly three decades, most recently as executive director. At the SCC's Annual Scientific Meeting in 2004, she was honored with a certificate of appreciation for her 25 years of service with the society.
There are many in the personal care industry that will miss Cesario. "Terry was an outstanding leader, friend and above all a wonderful woman. Her presence and influence will be sorely missed by all," added Doreen Scelso, the publications coordinator for the SCC.
Cesario is survived by her husband John; her children John, Peter, Suzanne and Catherine; and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be held today, Jan. 19, 2010, at St. Teresa’s Roman Catholic Church in Castleton Corners, N.Y., USA. Burial will follow at St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall Township, N.J., USA.
