Gabriele Vielhaber, PhD, has been appointed to global head of cosmetic ingredients and innovation for the life essentials business unit at Symrise. Vielhaber will also serve as the senior vice president of the life essentials business unit.
Before her appointment, Vielhaber was in charge of research as head of global innovation for the scent and care division at Symrise. According to the company, she has an extensive background in the field of cosmetic raw materials as well as solid knowledge of the international cosmetics market.
Vielhaber has expanded the research program for the life essentials business unit, and she played a role in launching the innovation strategy of the scent and care division in 2008. She also presided over the company's cooperative endeavor with biotech company SCoutech.
