Lucas Meyer Cosmetics, a wholly owned subsidiary of Unipex Group, is acquiring the portfolio of cosmetic ingredients and related intellectual property rights of Biopharmacopae Design International from Avrio Ventures L.P.
Located in Québec City, Biopharmacopea Design International is specialized in the research and development of new cosmetic active ingredients and products derived from plant extracts. Lucas Meyer Cosmetics and Biopharmacopae Design International have been working together since 2010 developing sophisticated botanical cosmetic active ingredients.
With this acquisition, Lucas Meyer Cosmetics now owns Biophamacopae Design International’s intellectual property on cosmetic active ingredients that are already on the market and gains access to an important pipeline of unique botanical active ingredients.
This acquisition is in line with Lucas Meyer Cosmetics’s growth strategy, as it demonstrates the drive to growth its proprietary products.
