KDC Awarded DuPont Tate & Lyle's Zemea Innovation Award

DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products has named Knowlton Development Corp. (KDC) as the winner of its Zemea Innovation Award for its patented Natural Zea deodorant stick platform.

KDC was selected from over 14 nominations from around the globe. Headquartered in Quebec, Canada, KDC is a contract manufacturer and formulator for the personal care industry, known for its natural product development. It utilized Zemea to formulate an efficacious, mild, 100% natural deodorant that is clinically proven to support a 24-hour odor protection claim.

The Zemea Innovation Award program is designed to recognize companies who have commercialized innovative cosmetics and personal care ingredients or finished products that contain the company's Zemea propanediol. Judges for the award included: Steve Herman, chair of the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists and professor of cosmetic science at Fairleigh Dickinson University; Steve Hurff, VP of marketing and sales for DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products; and Tom Branna, VP and editorial director of HAPPI magazine.
