IMCD Group has acquired 100% of the shares of Chemimpo South Africa Pty., Ltd., through its subsidiary IMCD South Africa. The aquisition will futher establish IMCD Group's position in South Africa.
Integration of the two companies will take place in 2013, and the new combined operation will have approximately 90 employees. Chemimpo South Africa is headquartered in Johannesburg but also has branches in Cape Town and Durban.

Otto Brinkmann, Chemimpo's managing director, who will lead the combined operation added, “We are all excited with this change as it significantly increases our customer base, laboratory presence and sales personnel, delivering exhaustive market penetration.”
