Henkel Opens Professional Hair Care Headquarters in California

Abstract: “By bringing together operations, we will further strengthen our footprint in the U.S. as well as our overall Henkel culture, which is the catalyst for cross-company knowledge sharing and collaboration,” said Stefan Mund, regional head, Henkel Beauty Care Hair Professional North America.

Henkel has announced the opening of a professional hair care headquarters in Culver City, California, bringing a number of key brands into one location.

The North American hair care brands intended for both consumer and professional use include: Alterna Haircare, Kenra Professional, #mydentity, Pravana, Schwarzkopf Professional and Sexy Hair.

Additionally, the company acquired Zotos International Inc., in January 2018, which is the North American hair professional business of Shiseido Company, Limited and comprises of brands such as Joico and Zotos Professional.

The new facility will consist of an open-space work environment, including an Academy of Hair multi-branded learning center, opening Q2 2018. The facility will consist of a full-service test salon and color bar, as well as a digital trend lab, designed to set the stage for photo and video shoots or live broadcasts of demonstrations or trainings.
