The HallStar Company and Scandiflex have formed a new joint venture, HallStar do Brazil. The new parnership was created to extend HallStar’s reach into Brazil.

"Along with China and India, Brazil is one of the largest regions for growth," John Paro, president and CEO of Hallstar told C&T magazine. He added that sun care is of great interest to the region, which their product portfolio fully supports. The joint venture will be headquartered in São Paulo.

Scandiflex reportedly brings its esters manufacturing expertise, distribution network and knowledge of the personal care market in Brazil to the venture. Meanwhile, HallStar contributes its product portfolio, patent estate and marketing expertise.

The founding companies will retain equal ownership in HallStar do Brazil. A dedicated sales representative will be established in order to accelerate new products to regional market.
