Ciba Name Change Approved At Annual Meeting

Ciba Specialty Chemicals announced at its Annual General Meeting on March 8, 2007, that it may now use the name “Ciba” without the addition of “Specialty Chemicals” due to a new agreement with Novartis. The name change will be slowly implemented and concluded with the expected renaming of the holding company at the Annual General Meeting 2008.
