Alberto-Culver Opens Plant in Arkansas

Alberto-Culver has announced plans to open a Jonesboro, Arkansas plant. The company reportedly will spend US$60 million on the facility and is expected to begin construction soon. The 500,000 square-foot facility is intended to take the place of a company's manufacturing plant in Dallas, Texas, which is expected to close in 2007. Production in the Jonesboro facility is scheduled to start in 2008, and once the plant is fully operational, it will employ 400 individuals.
