Weleda AG announces that its subsidiary Weleda France, a natural skin care brand based in Arlesheim, Switzerland, will open its first store anywhere in Paris.  Sales for the skin care brand shot up 50 percent in 2005, to €38 million, according to the company, and the company decided it was time to create a store representative of the the brand's image.

The new Weleda space, entitled Espace Weleda,  is a showcase of nature.  From the vertical garden with water fountain base to the plant essences displays, the decor evokes the natural and organic images the company strives to convey.  Also, each focal point is designed by an individual artist. The store, however, is not all visual art.  90 Stockkeeping units house Weleda France's products and there are two adjacent  treatment rooms for body massages.
