Croda has been recognized by Corporate Knights as a company leading the charge for sustainability. Corporate Knight's 2013 Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations report has ranked it as the highest placed UK-based company and at number 25 in the world.
The report, which is compiled annually by Corporate Knights, is now in its ninrh year. It is the most extensive data-driven corporate sustainability assessment and is based on the financial, social and environmental performance of around 4,000 of the world’s largest listed companies.
The results of the report demonstrate Croda’s increased emphasis on sustainability and highlight the importance that it plays in the company’s ongoing strategy. This focus will continue to enhance the financial performance of the company, and deliver key environmental, social and governance benefits.
“I am delighted that Croda’s sustainability credentials have been endorsed so comprehensively in this report. Our high global ranking and leading position in the UK reflects the significant amount of time that we have invested in this area. Our objective is to excel even further and make sustainability a major point of difference for the business. We are confident that this strategy will generate even greater benefits for the environment in which we operate, the people that we work with and our shareholders,” added Steve Foots, CEO of Croda.
