Title: BRAIN Collaborates with Autodisplay Biotech for Cosmetic Actives
  • Article

BRAIN AG and Autodisplay Biotech GmbH will cooperate to develop innovative cellular screening systems. The collaboration aims at using the benefits of the exposition of cosmetically relevant human target molecules on the surface of screening cells in the search for new cosmetic actives.

Autodisplay Biotech specializes in bacterial surface expression of proteins, which complements BRAIN’s screening systems to expand the company’s technology platform. The collaboration represents a milestone in BRAIN's corporate strategy to intensify cooperation with technology companies to drive the R&D of novel cosmetic actives.

The two companies will use BRAIN's bioactives and natural substances to find new active ingredients and explain the methods of action. According to BRAIN, screenings for new modes of action have been at the top of its agenda for many years, as they offer an immense potential for growth.
