Stephenson Group Opens Lab for Personal Care Division

Stephenson Group Ltd. has opened a laboratory extension at its headquarters in Horsforth, Leeds, UK. According to the company, the extension is part of a plan to increase investment in its personal care division, Stephenson Personal Care.

The laboratory is dedicated solely to personal care formulation and development. Work under way includes the development of multifunctional ingredients for the personal care market, which are due to be launched at SCS Formulate later this year. The company's personal care division also manufactures a range of specialty bases (melt and pour, extrudable, liquid and certified organic) for personal care.

The laboratory will be directed by Martin Perry, PhD, and Russell Cox, PhD, and supported by four undergraduate students on a course from Huddersfield University.
