The HBA Global Expo & Educational Conference announced its 2008 keynote speaker, board certified clinical dermatologist Nicholas Perricone, M.D., FACN and CEO of recently renamed and re-branded PerriconeMD Cosmeceuticals (formerly N.V. Perricone, M.D. Cosmeceuticals).
Perricone will discuss reversing the signs of aging and their relation to inflammatory skin conditions in his speech, “Strategies for Understanding & Reversing The Inflammation-Aging Connection,” to be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 9 a.m. in theA special events hall of the Javits Center in New York City.
PerriconeMD Cosmeceuticals, the professional skin care company, rolled out its new brand strategy in April 2008. The brand, sold in Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Sephora and other stores across the U.S., now features simpler products that reflect targeted daily skin regimens.
At HBA, Perricone will use his experience as his company’s business leader to explore topics of age-related diseases. He will divulge factors that may cause skin inflammation and demonstrate how diet, nutritional supplements and topical antioxidants may control such inflammation and thereby help to reverse the signs of aging.
“We are honored to have Dr. Perricone deliver the keynote address at HBA. With skin care innovations and trends top of mind for personal care and beauty professionals, and with consumer demand for beneficial and effective skin care products, HBA attendees will leave the keynote with plenty of food for thought for their product development plans,” said Jill Birkett, event director, HBA Global Expo.
The 16th HBA Annual Trade Show and Educational Conference will take place September 9-11 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
