Due to flooding in Bangkok, Thailand, the organizers of both In-Cosmetics Asia and the 2011 International Federation of the Societies of Cosmetic Chemists' (IFSCC) Conference have postponed their events, which were set to be held Nov 2-4, 2011, and Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2011, respectively.
Reed Exhibitions has rescheduled the event for Dec. 14–16, 2011. The venue (BITEC) and halls (halls 101-102) remain unchanged.
Meanwhile, although Panvipa Krisdaphong, president of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists Thailand (SCCT), has announced that the 2011 IFSCC Conference is postponed, the event has not yet been rescheduled.
The postponement of the shows was due to a heavy monsoon rain that has left northern and central areas of Thailand flooded. The mass amount of water overflowing down from the north of Thailand is becoming more and more fearsome to the Bangkok citizens, as it is nearing the capitol but has not yet reached the city center. According to Krisdaphong, the SCCT will announce the new date shortly and will consistently inform attendees of any changes regarding the event.
