Surfactant Concentrate for Mild, High-foam Cleansers
Posted: July 9, 2010
Colonial Chemical Inc. has introduced a baby shampoo concentrate to its line of mild products. Cola Det EQ-12 (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Cocamidopropyl Betaine (and) PEG-80 Sorbitan Laurate (and) Sodium Tridecyl Ether Sulfate (and 0 PEG-150 Distearate), although ideal for baby shampoos, can also be formulated into high-lathering cleansers for sensitive skin.
When creating a shampoo or cleanser with the concentrate, formulators need only add preservative, fragrance, dye, water and a pH adjuster. The concentrate reportedly is biodegradable and ideal for environmentally friendly formulations. It is recommended for children’s shampoos, mild liquid soaps for foam pumps, facial washes and bubble baths.
