Moisturizing Agent with Anti-microbial Properties
Posted: July 3, 2007
Symrise has created a moisturizing agent with anti-microbial properties. SymClariol (INCI: Decylene glycol) is suitable as an additive in a variety of cosmetic applications such as shampoos, conditioners, deodorants, disinfectant soaps and moisturizing creams.
The company reports it conducted a number of in vitro and in vivo tests that concluded a high level of efficacy from the agent. The ingredient is said to be compatible with nearly all cosmetic ingredients and is approved for use worldwide.
This additive can be used in applications such as anti-acne and anti-dandruff products, as well as in anti-fungal products for skin and nails. For more information, visit www.symrise.com.
