Noveon Inc., a subsidiary of specialty chemical company The Lubrizol Corp., has announced a newcationic-compatible liquid rheology modifier that, according to the company, will enable new formulating possibilities. Carbopol Aqua CC polymer is reportedly designed for use in low pH, medium to high viscosity applications.
According to the Noveon, the polymer enables formulators to utilize ingredients such as cationic conditioners and pH-sensitive actives in formulations with high clarity, smooth texture and excellent suspension capabilities. The ingredient is currently patent-pending.
