This is the seventh article in a series discussing metals in cosmetics. The series was introduced in January 1998 with a discussion of the toxic potential from metals absorbed through the skin.

Subsequent articles presented quantitative data reflecting the extent to which each metal cited in the Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary has a potential for skin absorption and toxicity. The present article discusses nickel.
