In a recent study a comparison was made between instrumental and sensory measurements of skin moisturization. To this end, the skin moisturization efficacy of 46 cosmetic raw materials (emollients and emulsifiers) was evaluated by means of a skin corneometer, and the skin moisturization perception was determined by means of a sensory panel.
