Abstract: This article describes a new polyether-modfied polidimethylsiloxane that has shown skin moisturization and skin smoothing capability in objective and sensory panel tests.

In a recent study a comparison was made between instrumental and sensory measurements of skin moisturization. To this end, the skin moisturization efficacy of 46 cosmetic raw materials (emollients and emulsifiers) was evaluated by means of a skin corneometer, and the skin moisturization perception was determined by means of a sensory panel.
