Petrolatum Blends for More Natural Moisturization

At In-Cosmetics in Barcelona, Spain, Calumet Penreco LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P., will be debuting its line of hybrid petrolatum products that combine the moisturization properties of petrolatum with natural moisturizing oils to offer formulators a more natural alternative to petrolatum alone.
The Hybrid Petrolatum blends (INCIs: Not Provided) combine Snow White Petrolatum USP with one of the following four natural oils: macadamia nut oil, avocado oil, safflower oil and olive oil. These petrolatum blends allow formulators to incorporate higher percentages of renewable resources while maintaining the beneficial properties of petrolatum.
The blends impart moisturization and provide skin barrier protection and repair to skin care formulations. Specifically, the blends are recommended for skin care, lip care, sun care, hair care, ointments, bar soaps and bath products.
