Crosslinkable Polymer Compositions

Posted: May 23, 2006

Crosslinkable compounds which are utilized as co-monomers or end-cappers for the preparation of many polymers have been discovered by Honeywell technologies.

According to the company, the compounds increase thermal and chemical resistance properties in addition to reducing strezz-crazing and water absorption in the polymer. The crosslinkable polymer compositions are reportedly valuable for enhancing the thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties of fluorinated poly arylene ethers (FPAEs), polyether ketones, polysulfones, and polyether imides.
