Biocides on the Rise in Personal Care

The global consumption of biocides in personal care was US$570 million in 2005, according to a new report by Research and Markets, Biocides in Personal Care Global Report—2006. This reflects end industry growth, regulatory and technological changes and the growing use of biocides as hygiene aids. According to the report, specialty biocides include bactericides, bacteriostats and fungicides.
