This article describes a series of polymers based on the naturally occurring castor oil and succinic acid, reacted to make a polyester (such as castor succinate) and then functionalized to provide benefits in cosmetic formulations. Several formulations are provided to demonstrate the use of the various castor succinate polyester compounds.
