Boron Nitride Functional Fillers for Cosmetics

EMD Chemicals' performance materials division has launched a line of boron nitride functional fillers for cosmetics. The RonaFlair Boroneige line is comprised of a boron nitride technology that was originally developed by ESK Ceramics GmbH & Co. KG. EMD is the exclusive distributor for the line.
Boron nitride is a pure powder substrate with a pure white color and heavy metal values that are far below the statutory limit values. Boron nitride is a commonly used functional filler that EMD previously did not have in its range.
The products combine three properties that cosmetic manufacturers often desire in functional fillers: they have a mattifying effect, give cosmetic formulations a smooth texture and they provide a soft-focus effect which renders wrinkles and skin imperfections virtually invisible.
RonaFlair Boroneige functional fillers are offered in 5 different particle sizes (SF-3, SF-6, SF-15, SF-9 and SF-12) and can be used in a wide variety of cosmetic applications.
