Film Former for Water-resistant Color Cosmetics

Interpolymer has introduced a water-resistant film former for color cosmetic formulations. Syntran PC 5775 (INCI: Not Provided) is based on the company's biomodal technology, which employs an interpenetrating network of cationic and anionic polymer chains.

The ingredient's film-forming benefits allow it to provide water-resistance, adhesion and flexibility properties to water-resistant color cosmetic formulations such as mascara and eye liner. At 5–20%, the film former is designed to deliver a quick-setting film; further, it exhibits enhanced hydrophobic characteristics for long wear formulations.
