Lucas Meyer Touts Breast-enhancing Effects of Encapsulated Ornithine

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics has introduced the breast-firming and enhancing effects of an ornithine amino acid encapsulated in its lonosome delivery system. Adipofill’in (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Propanediol (and) Ornithine (and) Phospholipids (and) Glycolipids) is said to act as a "cosmetic push-up bra" by making breasts firmer and fuller without surgery. The blend was initially launched a a wrinkle-filler for facial rejuvenation.

The blend activates HIF-1α , a transcription factor that regulates adipocyte anabolism (adipogenesis, lipogenesis and lipolysis), in turn stimulating adipose tissue growth to have a lipofilling-like effect. Adipocytes are inflated for improved lipid storage and breast volume is increased.

A clinical test was conducted on 20 women with an A or B cup, where a cream containing a placebo or 2% of the active blend was applied twice a day for 56 days. Through measurment using the fringe projection method, the company saw a 3% increase and an increase up to 7% with the active after 56 days. After 27 days, 75% of the women reported a significant positive result, and 100% of the women reported a significant positive result after 56 days.

The active blend is recommended at 0.5-2% in anti-aging bust care and breast volume-enhancer products.
