Bentonite-encapsulated Complex for Body Improvement

Lucas Meyer Cosmetics has launched an active that addresses the three major undesirable body skin characteristics—stretch marks, cellulite and firmness. Body³ Complex (INCI: Bentonite (and) Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter Extract (and) Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Fruit Extract) took home the bronze Innovation Zone Best Ingredient Award at this year's in-cosmetics Asia.

The active has three main mechanisms of action, which have been shown through in vitro, clinical and consumer testing: it reduces the appearance of cellulite and the orange-peel look with a new lipolysis pathway through ZAG modulation; it increases firmness by stimulating the production of SKALP, an elastase inhibitor, to limit dermis fiber degradation and fat infiltration; and it fades stretch marks (surface and color intensity) by regenerating ECM proteins.

The active is recommended at 0.1-1% in slimming products. It is certified by Ecocert Greenlife according to the Ecocert Standard for Natural and Organic Cosmetics. In addition, it does not contain preservatives.
