Amino Acid for Stronger Skin Barrier

Kyowa Hakko USA Inc. has partnered with Presperse Inc. to offer an amino acid technology to strengthen the skin barrier. AHYP Natural Skin Barrier (INCI: N-Acetyl-L-Hydroxyproline) is produced through the fermentation of natural sugars.

The partnership conducted clinical tests and determined the ingredient penetrates the skin. In addition, an elevation of collagen synthesis and improved skin elasticity was observed. Finally, the ingredient was found to offer overall strengthening benefits to the skin barrier to combat allergens and pollution, to accelerate wound healing, and to increase moisturization.
