Title: Lupin Seed Extract for Collagen Production
  • Article

Expanscience Laboratories has added an active ingredient to its portfolio that is derived from lupin seed coatings. Collageneer (INCI: Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil (and) Lupinus albus seed extract) is said to have the ability to increase the synthesis of type I collagen and promote production of high quality collagen to give skin firmness and elasticity.

The ingredient is made through the extraction of white lupin seed coatings which is solubilized in high-oleic sunflower oil. The extract is then compined with lupeol extract, purified and stabilized.

The company conducted an evaluation whereby volunteers confirmed the company's clinical results that the ingredient improved firmness and reduced sagging of the facial contour. For more information on the ingredient, visit www.expanscience.com.
