Sebum-regulating Active Introduced
Posted: June 5, 2007
Alban Muller International has introduced an active that was developed for the care of oily skin. Seborami (INCI: Glycerin (and) water (aqua) (and) Sisymbrium officinale extract (and) Arctium lappa root extract (and) citric acid (and) glycolic acid (and) zinc PCA (and) sclerotium gum) is formulated to regulate sebum secretion and act on bacteria-causing acne, in addition to controlling shine.
The ingredient contains a zinc salt derivative from an amino acid with a sebostatic and antisepic action. It also contains two AHAs, citric and glycolic acid, which the company reports have keratolytic action to encourage the elimination of sebum. Great burdock extract is formulated into the product to purify and act as an astringent. Finally, erysimum extract is included for its sulfur-derivative content that regulates sebum, says the company.
The active is said to leave the skin purified and mattified. It is designed to treat oily, combination, young and acne-proned skin. To obtain more information about the product, visit www.albanmuller.com.
