Summer Snowflake Extract Targets Wrinkles

IBR Ltd. has launched antiaging actives extracted from dormant summer snowflake bulbs. IBR-Snowflake 1001 (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Leucojum aestivum bulb extract) and IBR-Snowflake 1003 (INCI: Glycerin (and) water (aqua) (and) Leucojum aestivum bulb extract) were tested successfully to inhibit muscle contraction.

The company reports that the ingredient can serve as a substitute for injectable wrinkle reducers. Also, the active reportedly increases super oxide dismutase (SOD) expression, making it an antiwrinkling and antiaging active. The product is available free of preservatives or with a non-paraben preservative system. The company adds that the product has a lightening effect on skin by interacting with melanin and melanocytes.

The company recommends the actives for antiaging products that preserve youth, target wrinkles and lighten skin.
