Sun Care Products Boost Protection

The summer sun is blazing and skin protection is on many minds. With unique ingredients and features, these new sun care products are beating the heat. The Mintel Global New Product Database (GNPD) highlights the newest sun care products out this summer.
Recently released in Israel, Safe Sea Sunscreen offers SPF 30+ protection for babies and children. It is effective against UVA and UVB rays for up to 80 minutes. Not only does this product protect from the sun, it also offers protection against jellyfish stings. This multi-function product is dermatologist tested and safe for children six months and over.
For sensitive skin, Migros of Switzerland presents Sun Look Sensitive Sun Spray. The product is a water resistant sun spray for sensitive skin with SPF 20, bisabolol, vitamin E and panthenol. Further catering to those with sensitive skin, this product is free from perfume, emulsifiers, colorants, and preservatives. This range of Sun Look products already contains Sun Sprays with SPF 12, 15, 25 and 30. This is the first of the range to be made available for sensitive skin.
Cosmetic Dermatology of the U.S.A. has released Daily UV Protection. The 5 oz. tube of cream has an SPF of 30 and an Active Renewal Shield, which protects skin and provides UVA and UVB protection. The cream’s active protection shield causes the skin’s defense mechanisms to react before sun damage is caused and uses microspheres to refract light away from skin. The product contains anti-oxidants, such as green and white tea, and grape seed extract, which keep the skin moisturized and elastic. Along with sun protection, the cream leaves a smooth and silky feel.
Out of Hong Kong, Clarin’s Eye Contour Care is available with an SPF of 30. This product provides sun wrinkle control and advanced ultra sun protection. Offering a fragrance-free formulation, Eye Contour Care provides 100% mineral filters and plant extracts for reinforced protection and a smooth, fine, transparent texture.
