Madagascan Plant Extract for Sensitive Skin

During the NY SCC Suppliers' Day, at booth 207 of MMP Inc., the Serdex division of Bayer Santé Familiale S.A.S. will present its Embellia Extract (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Glycerin (and) Embelia Concinna Leaf Extract), a new natural active ingredient, which was launched during In-Cosmetics.

The new Madagascan plant extract is targeted to sensitive and reactive skin, especially to reactions toward environmental aggressions, thanks to its complementary activity and its flavonoids content. Focused on a "neurocosmetic" purpose, the product hinders the negative processes involved in skin sensitization, including: immune system reactivity, alleviating the immune response by decreasing histamine release; free nerve-ending hyper reactivity, decreasing neuromediators release, i.e., Substance P, CGRP, etc., and induced inflammatory status, by imparting anti-inflammatory properties by decreasing PGE2 & LTB4 release.
