Title: Pea Peptide Hair Loss Prevention
  • Article

At In-Cosmetics Asia 2011, BioSpectrum will introduce a stem cell booster for hair growth stimulation and hair loss prevention. EMortal Pep (Hair) (INCI: Pisum Sativum (Pea) Peptide (and) Propanediol (and) Water (aqua)) is said to be both natural and safe.

The active was created from the peptides of peas, which have a size of less than 2000 Mw. The active reportedly has cell regenerative and anti-aging actives. The active is said to stimulate follicle stem cells to promote hair growth. In addition, it reportedly prevents hair loss by counteractive the hair loss factor TGF-β1.

The active is supplied as a slightly brown liquid. It can be incorporated into hair care formulations at 2.0%. It is water-soluble and Ecocert-certified.
