Lip Care Products on the Rise

Lips have never had it so good. With many new trends emerging in the realm of lip care, colorful, fuller lips are easier than ever to achieve. Formulators everywhere are creating ways for lip enhancements to last longer. In addition, new products are energizing the mind and body through the lips.
Henna recently has been introduced to the lip care market. The dye’s use in beauty care can be traced back to the Neolithic period. It was, and is, commonly used in the Middle East to ornate the hands of women during celebrations, weddings in specific, in correlation with the fertility goddess. It is derived from the leaves and shoots of the mignonette tree, or henna tree (Lawsonia inermis), according to the Columbia Encyclopedia.
In order to create a longer-lasting lip color, henna has been introduced into the lip market by way of Madflowers. The company’s Henna Lip Stain and Treatment reportedly enhances the natural color of lips for hours. According to the company, the lip stain and treatment also moisturizes and protects lips with natural plant oils such as mineral oil, marine collagen extracts and chamomile.
Plumping the lips is nothing new; however, making newly-plumped lips last longer is. Now that formulators have found a way to increase lip size without surgery, the next task is getting the desired effects to last, while maintaining the healthy appearance of lips.
Lip plumper manufactures are seeking to improve the effects of lip plumpers. Some have broadened their products to include different steps while others have simply added new ingredients.
