Tarte has launched a line of long-wear blushes formulated with Amazonian clay to improve skin's texture and remove oil for better application. Amazonian Clay Long-wear Blush is offered in eight shades ranging from soft pink (Dollface) to deep berry (Flush). According to the company, the blushes are solar baked and appropriate for all skin types.
The clay is said to provide benefits for all skin types. For oily skin, it minimizes oil in and around pores to balance skin and keep the product in place, whereas for dry skin, it hydrates skin for longer wear. For dull skin, the product is designed to improve the appearance of skin clarity and skin texture, and for combination skin, it gives skin an overall smooth and even appearance.
The blushes are also formulated with vitamin C to fight free radicals and brighten skin. Vitamin E is incorporated as a natural preservative and to protect against free radical damage. Beeswax is included to create a natural protective barrier between the skin and the environment. Finally, the pigments used reportedly are derived from natural minerals and have been known to soothe and soften skin.
