Procedure: To prepare formula, low rpm mixing (typically 150 rpm) is recommended in order to properly structure the system and minimize air entrapment. Also, the agitation system has to be chosen carefully to ensure good recirculation of the product. The use of paddle stirrers, impellers or anchors is recommended. Charge A in main vessel. Add B if necessary to pH 7. Slowly sift C into AB and mix until uniform for about 15 min. Charge D and add to ABC, mixing until uniform for about 15 min. In a separate vessel, blend E until uniform. Increase the mixing rate of ABCD to 300 rpm. Add E to ABCD, and when D is emulsified, adjust mixing rate to 150 rpm. Continue to mix until completely uniform for about 15 min. Add F to batch and mix until uniform for about 15 min. Adjust pH to 4.7 with G and mix for one hour.
