Tom's of Maine has created a aluminum-free, sensitive skin deodorant line with a method called supercritical extraction. The company's patent-pending Sensitive Care Aluminum-Free Deodorants are available in three scents: bay-lime, cucumber-grapefruit and fragrance-free.
To create the line, the company used supercritical extraction to draw out the most effective elements from hops, which inhibit the growth of odor-causing bacteria and prevent odor naturally and effectively. The method is said to be environmentally friendly and gentle. The chamomile formulated in the deodorants is extracted in a similar way and is used to soothe sensitive skin. According to the company, supercritical extraction does not generate chemical waste. The deodorants also are Kosher and Halal certified. For more information, visit www.tomsofmaine.com.
