Abstract: Chemyunion’s latest ingredient helps improve skin micro-surface and promotes corneocyte regeneration with its antioxidant properties, helping reduce the appearance of age.

Chemyunion has introduced Ecoffea (INCI: Water (aqua) (and) Glycerin (and) Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seedcake Extract), which is an organic green coffee cake glycerinated extract with mitochondrial protecting properties.

While reducing residue release, Ecoffea also provides green coffee benefits to the skin, which was scientifically confirmed to have anti-aging properties.

Mitochondrial function is a supporting reason of aging. With reduced cell activity, corneocytes change in size with a 20% to 40% increase in diameter, causing an aged appearance. This active ingredient improves skin micro-surface and promotes corneocyte regeneration with its antioxidant properties, helping reduce the appearance of age.

The ingredient is a vegetable active and can be used in creams, gels or serums. It increases three times the activity of the enzyme aconitase and stimulates cell renewal.

Ecoffea has the following benefits:

  • Up to 13 years worth of rejuvenation
  • Improved skin surface in 15 days
  • Cell energy stimulation, to help with a healthy skin metabolism
  • Antioxidant mitochondrial protection, contributing to cell viability
